The Jockey pump is a pump connected with a fire fighting system. It keeps the pressure in the system when it goes under a setted value. Their purpose is to maintain normal water pressure and to help prevent unnecessary cycling of the main fire pump(s).

How can control it? In my case we have two pressure switches. They are between two value of pressure. The first one is for minimum pressure. Beyond it, the pump starts.
The other one is used to stop it. If the value of pressure of the second one is too high the pump goes away to work uselessly.
When the pressure of the fire fighting system goes under a determinate pressure, the fire pump starts, it could be with an electrical alimentation.
