How to control a Drum Heating cabinet systems

How to control a Drum Heating cabinet systems.

Hi everyone, today I will talk about how to control the heat in a Drum Heating cabinet.
Materials such as tar, oils, resins and other viscous substances need to be kept at a costant temperature or heated in order to change viscosity before processing. The Drum Heating Cabinets solve these issues.
To control the temperature inside we have two thermoregulators. The first one, usally inside the electric panel. In this one we fix the MAXIMUM temperature reachebal, in according with quality and safety issues, that we want inside the Drum heating cabinet. The second one, out of the electrical panel, is used to fix the  average temperature that we want inside. Sometimes we can see other protection systems.
You have to consider that some Thermoregulator have a band of temperature in set point. In my case ( we are using a Gefran 600_Configurable controller)

we don’t have a band of temperature, this means that when we fix a temperature for example 50 degree, when it stops the heat production in the chamber, the temperature can increase of 2-3 degree
Pay attention about this.
Furthermore, you can regulate the output. In my case when the temperature arrives to the set point a led (OUT 2) lights up.
This article is for a trouble that I faced. For several time the safety thermoregulator was activated. I called the firm that has moved the PT100 ( Sensor) not more close to the resistances ( that produce heat) but in the middle of the chamber. The PT 100 is one but has two outputs one for each thermoregulator. Only in this way we have not had other problems.
